And the king of Israel said unto Jehoshaphat, I will disguise myself, and enter into the battle; but put thou on thy robes. And the king of Israel disguised himself, and went into the battle.
亚哈其馀的事，凡他所行的和他所修造的象牙宫，并所建筑的一切城邑，都写在以色列诸王记上。
Now the rest of the acts of Ahab, and all that he did, and the ivory house which he made, and all the cities that he built, are they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Israel?
约西亚王十八年，王差遣米书兰的孙子，亚萨利的儿子书记沙番上耶和华殿去，吩咐他说，
And it came to pass in the eighteenth year of king Josiah, that the king sent Shaphan the son of Azaliah, the son of Meshullam, the scribe, to the house of the LORD, saying,
书记沙番又对王说，祭司希勒家递给我一卷书。沙番就在王面前读那书。
And Shaphan the scribe shewed the king, saying, Hilkiah the priest hath delivered me a book. And Shaphan read it before the king.
就是听见我指着这地和其上的居民所说，要使这地变为荒场，民受咒诅的话，你便心里敬服，在我面前自卑，撕裂衣服，向我哭泣，因此我应允了你。这是我耶和华说的。
Because thine heart was tender, and thou hast humbled thyself before the LORD, when thou heardest what I spake against this place, and against the inhabitants thereof, that they should become a desolation and a curse, and hast rent thy clothes, and wept before me; I also have heard thee, saith the LORD.
大卫召了他儿子所罗门来，嘱咐他给耶和华以色列的神建造殿宇，

他听从亚哈家的计谋，同以色列王亚哈的儿子约兰往基列的拉末去，与亚兰王哈薛争战。亚兰人打伤了约兰。

但你是圣洁的，是用以色列的赞美为宝座的。
But thou art holy, O thou that inhabitest the praises of Israel.
淫妇的口为深坑，耶和华所憎恶的，必陷在其中。
The mouth of strange women is a deep pit: he that is abhorred of the LORD shall fall therein.
